The decade of the 1920s was a crucial time period for women. They had gained the right to vote and were also starting to gain respect among the men. Women were active on social issues and were not afraid to express their opinion. Women appearance also changed dramatically into a more practical look. Women were dressed for their occupations and the fashion changed into a more modern look. Some of these people that introduced this more modern look were flappers.
